Junk In Trunk ….. Missing In Action!

Junk In Trunk ..... Missing In Action!

Here is a lush crepe viscose, begging to become palazzo pants. Well at least in my head anyway. I shall merely titilate with the fabric today ….. Let you prepare for the fact that even super experinced doesn’t equal having a dabnabit clue as to what suits my frame!!! I have no JinT so the positive is ….. Great fabric, great pants but more than dubious lack of backside!

Tomorrow you get to have a darn good giggle but I want to save it for now, am I prepared for public humiliation?

Slideshow Success

I just want to share a great big thank you to my dear D’el at curlsnskirls here on wordpress for her wonderful encouragement and support.

I so lucked out on a recent sewing swap, D’el was my swap buddy whom I sent goodies to. An immediate friendship has been struck up and she has given me confidence to try new ‘stuff’ here on my blog. Hence the slideshows which I hope you enjoy and even more hope you can spare some time to comment so I can grow in confidence in this here blog world at which I am just over 1 month old!!

NEXT … linking, hyper linking whatever it’s called!!??

Need to get reading the help and support notes so I can reference back to other great blogs I take pleasure in reading.

While I’m at my thank you speech … thank you to my eldest daughter form here on in DD1 (Darling Daughter 1). For all her help with the pin cushion. I needed her nimble fingers as well as wanting to get her sewing more. We had a giggle doing this together and you will note from the pictures 2 different pairs of hands. This will help explain any confusion you may have felt when thinking “who on earth is holding it this time”!?

Again your comments, support is so appreciated. THANK YOU.

What A Rotter !

Having led these lovely ladies down the garden path last week by assuring them this little skirt was suitable for beginners, I led the way this week (2nd week) and set them up to get sewing like their very own sewing bee.

Only when they had near on completed their skirts did I tell them this is actually an intermediate creation with all it’s french seams and being fully reversible and an elastic casing!!!

Every single one without exception had just tucked in and taken the challenge head on, I so admire that courage.

We had a wonderful giggle along the way with ‘nails’, code name for one of us leading the hilarity.

Can it be right to have this much fun whilst working  … HELL YES!

Photo Fest Gives Me Away!

Less than a month at blogging and here I am subjecting you to my every sewing move … I take my hat off to my darling followers, sticking with the incessant chatter you are doing real well. Having said that, try being inside my head, it’s pretty crowded out with ideas and darn noisy so maybe you get a slightly better deal!

Today was week one of Kiddies Klobber workshop for beginners and as you can see by my pictures the ladies did an outstanding job.  I made the decision to keep these workshops small so that 1 on 1 is readily available.  The extra benefit has been, the ladies have all had a chance to get to know a bit about one another so the atmosphere has been relaxed and social. PERFECT.

I would like to take this opportunity as I sit here all heavy eyed and feeling very snoozy now after my exciting day to say THANK YOU. I am enjoying your comments and encourage more, the international dialogue is such fun. The world in my living. As my beautiful Mum would have said “well go to the foot of my stairs” which is a rather quirky UK thing translating to I’m surprised! Those of you within my generation, even in the 1980’s could we ever have conceived of such a social medium. We would have called it witchcraft! It’s marvellous, exciting and just a little bit scary.

Concentration Equals Quiet!

Concentration Equals Quiet!

Look at the concentration. I just love that it matters this much to these lovely ladies that they spend 3 hours on a Saturday in a room with ME, Mrs Twenty to the Dozen! God Bless them.
