I Had Daughters For A Reason ....

…eldest finds watching me crochet a painful task, apparently I make it look awkward having thumbs that live in the wrong place (arthritis) so she made these Fimo handles for me. How wonderful is she?! They have been given a minor test drive and by gum the difference it makes to me is positively SUPERB! Can you use those 2 words together? English female asking how to write English …. Not good but hey ho Im wicked at sewing :0)

Great idea. I struggle with plain hooks, I am a Clover lover! I taught my daughter to crochet recently – she has problems with her wrists (RSI), and the ergonomic handles have made all the difference 🙂

How superb that your daughter wants to crochet, knitting seems to be the big thing for the younger females BUT i just love the look of crochet. Good for her! Oh and good for you for teaching her, what a great Mum.

Nice to know that your daughter has interest with crafting.. I look forward to seeing some of her works and probably yours too. I never had time trying that, plus I had joints problems in my hands, knees, hips, and feet when I was a teen. I had stem cell treatment (with Dr Purita, an orthopedic surgeon from Stem MD specializing in sports injury) for 5 weeks after my physical therapy failed and left my joints swollen and red. I also love to try making my own clothes (a childhood dream I want to pursue) but I only know basic sewing. Anyways, I am glad you have found the right hooks/handles for you… I also hope you will find the appropriate treatment for your arthritis, so your thumb will be able to get back to normal too. 🙂
