If Found Please Return My Junk .... I Need It!

The fabric was a bit of a challenge to sew, it frays like crazy so would approach the zipper seam differently next time…. Of course a freanch seam is tricky to use if inserting a zip so I opted for a standard 5/8″ seam with a little machine sewn turned edge. Next time I would definately use a Hong Kong seam (bound with an attractive bias) . Although very, very comfortable I have to say the lack of much mentioned ‘junk in trunk’ really will influence my choice in future. I’m more a maxi skirt gal and maybe best I stop fighting my body shape!

Ah, know what that’s like! Had a skirt last summer that I had to bind seams for. Same problem of raveling. But such a nice fabric to wear, and you did a great job with the trousers!

Thank you, they did turn into more of an epic than I had expected but now they are done and funnily the weather has taken a turn toward Autumn here, the timing is perfect. They will most certainly get worn this week. I am brewing another maxi though. My MOST favourite garment for comfort and style. x
