Not Been Totally Idle….

Been trying to keep my hand in with the crafts along with another wonderful holiday in Aruba where I finally snorkelled much to HH delight!

DD’s took me to Jackie the Musical, a 70’s themed evening of heart warming nostalgia based around th hugely popular Jackie magazine which was read by pretty much every young teen in the UK back in the 70’s. The music was a full ling a long of Hot Chocolate, Donny Osmond, Marc Bolan, David Cassidy to name a few. Of course we went in appropriate dress, both gypsy skirts knocked up by my own fair hand. A bottle of fizz between 2 of us guaranteed much more confident singing πŸ˜‚

As you can se I tried to clean Aruba out of its shells…… Not a chance the beaches are FULL of them so I brought a bundle back for crafting and whilst chatting to my darling Dellis last week I started to string the citrine and shells as a trial. I have to say as a first attempt, made up in my head mobile I’m pretty darn pleased.

So that’s what I’ve been upto in a nut SHELL πŸ€—

LOVELY photos, Dear Samantha & thanks for the compliment! Always great to natter with you, and we’ve been marathoning. However, as we haven’t quite solved all the world’s probs, it’s our duty to humanity to stick with it. πŸ˜€
Please ‘splain that box in the center front amongst all those shells… are those stones from the beach, or is that citrine? They look extremely colourful & interesting . . . Great to see you back, and in top form. xxx

I agre Dellis, it would be deeply negligent of us to abandon our world peace talks . I’m prepared to run these marathon as long as you are πŸ˜‚

The box in the foreground is all semi precious stones that are pre drilled. An unexpected gift from HH last year. He had seen the offer on TJC (the jewellery channel) of all places and knew I’d have a use for those pretty things. There’s citrine, topaz, amethyst, moonstone to name a few. DD2 pinched a good handful which she displays in a crystal bowl by a window. Now I’ve used them in my hanging doobrie firkin project, their fate is the same as I love how their colour comes to life by dangling around 😍

I’m with you on not abandoning marathon world peace talks.
Thanks for the gemstone explanation. Was wondering if Aruba has stones as well as shells. Are you sure HH doesn’t have a long lost cousin over here, a slight bit more experienced (i.e., older)?! DD2’s inherited your good eye ~ hope she had fun last night. What d’ya think about that jacket? And how’s our other little project progressing – any interest from your boss?
