Got Me Thinking

Just had a little scan through reader to see what everyone else is up to and it dawned on me that we really are in a new year at last. Yep, I’m strong on observation!

2013 was not the best on the whole with a few special and positive exceptions, so really I should have been on the ball a bit more as of course a new year is a perfect marker for closing one door and kicking another open.

As well as continuing my journey on the creative path, there are the more mundane facts, such as getting a job. A slight hurdle there is I am agoraphobic at this point in time BUT it’s high time I stretched myself. So interspersed with my creative list for the coming months I have set myself a the goal of going out on Monday with Rachel, that feels do-able.  Ask me again on Monday and I may have a very different view 😉

As I was thinking about list making, targets and the likes I was meandering around my bedroom (probably talking to myself again) and I caught sight of several possessions in there that make me feel happy. None of them are expensive and to another person possibly a bit boring but to me they are so precious. Maybe a memory attached or maybe just as simple as I love the colour or form.

This tripped a further thought process on how as a person I am really quite easy to please. I am not a greedy type, so long as the bills can be paid and even more importantly my loved ones are happy and healthy then I am content. So why the craziness of the past year?

No answer yet but a thought process that is welcome and overdue. How powerful is blogging? Just by reading a few blog friends misiffs, exploits, adventures and thoughts has got my brain moving in a new direction in this new year of 2014. Pretty powerful stuff huh!?

So here’s to an Owards & Upwards 2014 full of new and positive adventures for me and thee.

Willen Will Break The Bank!

Took a run over to Willen Hospice charity shop today to return the curtains. As suspected, not only did I spend the refund but a further £9.00 on top!

As complete confirmation of my obsession, a knitting pattern I DON’T KNIT! Well it was so lovely.

A little black and gold ensemble from I’m guessing the 1960’s for was it £15 or £20. Either way a steal for such a wonderful thing, sadly not in my size, so that has been left at the shop for another lucky person to buy. My black, silver and gold will keep me happy.

Spot a book there Del? Yep a book …. Nice pictures 🙂

For some reason I have been a bit embarrassed to ever mention that I am hindered by Agoraphobia but today I really saw the funny side of this mainly annoying condition. I think mine needs renaming ….. Selective agoraphobia. Funny how I can get out for fabric and vintage aye? Gosh when my man comes home I think he will be wishing my condition weren’t so selective as any jaunt out may be quite short but boy can I spend even in the most restrictive of time frames!!!
