Poppies

Poppies

Just 2 short hours later the poppy cushions have multiplied. We now have a family!

Do I sell them as a set or individually?

As you know dear reader, they are TOTALLY unique as the fabric was a barkcloth 1950’s curtain that I have upcycled ….. No chance of walking into a friends house and seeing the same cushions 🙂

Devonshire One Beautiful County

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

On a mission to source some wonderful vintage haberdashery I found myself in beautiful Devon. Worth the 4 hour drive dowm some tiny winding lanes.

Mission accomplished but goodies are being kept under wraps for the time being as I have some rather grand ideas that will take a while to pull together but of course will post here when I am ready for the big reveal…… so keep watching.

If Found Please Return My Junk …. I Need It!

If Found Please Return My Junk .... I Need It!

The fabric was a bit of a challenge to sew, it frays like crazy so would approach the zipper seam differently next time…. Of course a freanch seam is tricky to use if inserting a zip so I opted for a standard 5/8″ seam with a little machine sewn turned edge. Next time I would definately use a Hong Kong seam (bound with an attractive bias) . Although very, very comfortable I have to say the lack of much mentioned ‘junk in trunk’ really will influence my choice in future. I’m more a maxi skirt gal and maybe best I stop fighting my body shape!

Junk In Trunk ….. Missing In Action!

Junk In Trunk ..... Missing In Action!

Here is a lush crepe viscose, begging to become palazzo pants. Well at least in my head anyway. I shall merely titilate with the fabric today ….. Let you prepare for the fact that even super experinced doesn’t equal having a dabnabit clue as to what suits my frame!!! I have no JinT so the positive is ….. Great fabric, great pants but more than dubious lack of backside!

Tomorrow you get to have a darn good giggle but I want to save it for now, am I prepared for public humiliation?

Concentration Equals Quiet!

Look at the concentration. I just love that it matters this much to these lovely ladies that they spend 3 hours on a Saturday in a room with ME, Mrs Twenty to the Dozen! God Bless them.
